At HANDMADE BY LEIALOHA, every hoodie is one-of-a-kind — just like you. From thrifted fabrics to final stitches, I personally design and sew each piece in my home studio with care, intention, and purpose. Here’s what to expect when you order your first hoodie:
✨ Step 1: Share your vision
You start by filling out a simple design form. You’ll tell me your size, style preferences, color vibe, and anything you’ve been dreaming of — bold patterns, patchwork, oversized fit, or soft neutrals.
Not sure what you want yet? That’s okay! I’ll help guide you with inspiration, sketches, and fabric ideas.
✏️ Step 2: Design it together
Once I receive your form, I’ll reach out personally via email or Instagram to confirm your vision and address any questions you may have.
Once we’re aligned, I’ll send you the payment information to secure your spot in my sewing schedule. A $100 deposit or full payment is required before I begin thrifting and designing.
📦Want to Use Your Own Keepsakes?
You’re welcome to mail in personal items — like a hoodie, t-shirt, blanket, or sweatpants — that you’d love to see transformed into something new. You can send one special piece and I’ll thrift the rest to match, or send multiple items and I’ll create your custom hoodie or set entirely from what you provide.
Just mention it in your form, and I’ll follow up with shipping details and ideas to bring your vision to life.
🧵 Step 3: Sourced & stitched
I hand-source secondhand fabrics that reflect your style, prioritizing color harmony, texture, and quality. Once the materials are chosen, I carefully cut, piece, and sew your hoodie in my home studio.
The process takes about 3-4 weeks, and I’ll send you updates and progress photos so you can follow your hoodie’s journey from fabric to finished piece.
No two hoodies are ever the same — and that’s the point.
💌 Step 4: Ships with love
When your hoodie is complete, I’ll send final photos and request any remaining balance (if a deposit was made). Then it’s packaged with care and shipped to your doorstep — along with custom care instructions and a small thank-you gift made from leftover scraps.
💛 $20 from every item goes directly to support women and children’s shelters with food, clothing, and essentials.
